LEADER+ in Lomond & Rural Stirling

The Lomond & Rural Stirling LEADER+ Programme will support projects that improve the quality of life in the eligible rural area.

Successful projects for funding must contribute to one or more of the Lomond & Rural Stirling LEADER+ objectives:

  • Connecting business to business and new markets
  • Connecting communities to communities
  • Connecting through new technology – communities and businesses
  • Connecting the natural assets of the area to local people, communities and businesses
  • Connecting the public sector agencies to each other and with the community

However the two overriding characteristics of all projects supported by LEADER+ funding will be the bottom-up nature of projects and their innovative or pilot approach to tackling a particular issue.

Project applications will be supported by the Programme Manager and will be assessed by the Local Action Group (LAG) who meet on an approximately six weekly basis. To find out more about the LAG, click here.

Detailed guidance on who can apply and eligible project activities is contained in the application guidelines.

Applicant organisations must be constituted bodies, non-profit distributing companies or public agencies.

The programme's overhead costs are supported by: Loch Lomond and the Trosschs National Park Authority; Scottish Natural Heritage; Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley; Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire; Stirling Council; Argyll and Bute Council; West Dunbartonshire Council; and the European Union.
