Summary
This feasibility stage represents the first phase of a larger pilot project to explore the possibility of setting up a trades apprenticeship scheme for young people in the rural area.
The feasibility study will look at employers in the area and their ability and inclination to take on apprentices or trainees; consider likely demand for apprenticeships; investigate the types of trade or activity requested; define the varying levels of support currently offered in the area; provide information about travel options for potential apprentices; assess other examples of good practice; and develop an action plan for implementation.
