Summary
Funding will support the 1 year pilot of a project to increase the number of trades businesses in the National Park taking on apprentices in plumbing, construction and electrical work. An apprenticeship co-ordination post, discretionary grants scheme and schools event programme will be established. This project will directly address the conclusions of a feasibility study funded by LEADER+ in 2004.
