Summary
This project involves the community taking the lead in existing and new environmental projects in Strathfillan. The community already has experience of developing new native woodlands for nature conservation, leisure and recreation purposes, but now plans to build on this by researching and preparing pilot income generating projects from this community managed land. The project will also use the community managed land for environmental learning in the local area and for local social history interpretation. Added benefits of the project will include managing and extending community involvement in woodland policy, and acting as a catalyst in bringing neighbouring landowners, managers and partner organisations together for the first time.
